SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed concerning the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on here service the area daily. The services place created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who take a sassa status check look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all clients and improve use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
